Priests Forever

Priests Forever
Psalm 110:4, Hebrews 7:17, Revelation 1:5-6,
2 Corinthians 5:21

It’s lacking to see Jesus outside of his glory, kingship, and priesthood.
It is also lacking to see Jesus aside from his death and resurrection.
It is just as lacking to picture Jesus without his people.

As there is no cause for a death and resurrection without a purpose, we must confess that we are an integral part of this story.
While it seems pious to abhor myself and tempting to set myself aside from the story of our majestic king, it simply does not work without us.
Christ died to take away the sin of the world. He died for me and he died for you.
The incomprehensible took place at his resurrection, he made us like him.
While a king and priest, he laid down those rights and made us as righteous. We either choose to accept this truth or we reject it. The gospel is not about our frailty and ultimate demise, it regards our blindness and Jesus’ ability to make us see.

We are not the creator.
We are the creation.
We are meant to live in the manner he has called us.
We are meant to live as a kingdom and as priests to our God, just as Jesus has.
Anything less is a broken and waining gospel.
